Training

Apex Farm offers full and partial training for horses and students. Individualized training programs are customized to suit both the horse and rider's needs in order to create a successful partnership. Stacy Sutton works with previously trained horses for re-schooling and continued education, as well as starting the young horse. Stacy enjoys the process of helping every horse develop into safe, sane, and confident partners. A minimum of three months is required for starting youngsters.

Stacy Sutton also sometimes leaves Apex Farm to hack out the horses in training. This change of scenery not only refreshes the horse's mental attitude, but also exposes them to new surroundings and mentally prepares them for confidence in the show ring.

Being a smaller, more focused facility allows time for quality schooling sessions with the horses in training. Stacy is available to train and instruct at the farm five days a week. Horses in full training are worked five times a week, and all the horses receive at least one day off per week. The horse owner is offered two riding lessons per week during the training period. Full training includes our full care service, in which the horse is clipped, bathed, treated for minor vet care to lay up injuries, legs are liniment and wrapped as needed at no extra charge.

We are currently accepting full training clients.
